So it was another eventful month on Florida's Treasure Coast. I'm still enjoying the newness of the place as I explore the various counties in our coverage area. Having daily assignments is probably the best way to get to know the area and the assignments are as varying and diverse as the people and landscape here.
One day I could be covering beach erosion, watching body boarders in the surf, and the next day I could be covering the exhumation of a body at the center of a cold case from the early 1990s. (Both of which happened by the way.)
So, along with body boarders and cemeteries, I also covered a beauty pageant, possible future flooding, environmental education, professional tennis, an airport disaster drill, an evidence search in the lagoon, an orchid show, Relay for Life, spring camp for a Canadian football team, a food festival, a torch run through Sebastian and high school track. Whew! it was a busy month.
Here are a few photos from those assignments. Enjoy.
