2012 San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo: Slack - Day 2

Hipsta-slack07 I thought that I would try something a little different while finishing up my daily assignment of the second day of calf roping slack competitions out at the 1st Community Credit Union Spur Arena. I've got this handy-dandy iPhone 4s so I decided I would try some Hipstamatic shots today. Otherwise this post would be filled with the same kind of photos I posted yesterday. Who needs redundancy? Not his guy.
This was the first time I've used my iPhone while on assignment and I hope to use it on future shoots. I had a good time today. It was a nice distraction from shooting the exact same thing from the day before. The only difference was that the ropers went in reverse order. Tomorrow is going to be a little different. I'll still be shooting slack, but the competition changes to team roping in the morning and then to steer wrestling immediately following. Hipsta-slack10 Hipsta-slack06 Hipsta-slack09 Hipsta-slack05 Well, this is pretty much going to be my life for the next two and half weeks. My only reprieve will be this weekend when Brooke and I travel up to Lubbock for my sister's baby shower. Are dudes supposed to go to those things? Anyway, it will be a welcomed get-out-of-town opportunity before the animal insanity begins. As far as the Hipstamatic photos go, I'm still trying to figure out which film type and lens combination I like best. Right now, my favorite combo is the Helga Viking lens with Ina's 1969 film (see photo above). For those of you who shoot with your iPhone and use Hipstamatic, what lens/film combo do y'all use?
